Refurbishment and extension of ground floor flat

The design proposal for this ground floor flat included the rearrangement of internal spaces and an extension to the garden. The flat is split into two levels. The existing arrangement included a living-room and master bedroom at the front of the house (on street level) and a kitchen and small bedroom at the back (on garden level). To enter the kitchen one needed to go through the bedroom.

Following consultation with the clients, the kitchen moved to the front part of the house and the master bedroom to the back. The extension accommodates the new master bedroom, which opens to the garden through a generous opening.
